For the New York Islanders, all good thing must come to an end

For the New York Islanders, that was the case last night in Buffalo as the Sabres gave the Islanders a taste of what had happened to them last week. Ryan Miller stood tall, making a very strong case to be the starting goaltender for Team USA at the upcoming Olympic games in Vancouver, by posting  shutout to beat the Islanders 3-0.

It seemed as if the momentum (or luck for lack of a better work) had finally run out.  After going six games with gaining points, and four straight victories, the Islanders fell apart and could not extend the path they were on.

Sure, the New York Yankees may have been pushed to finish the series out in New York by the Philadelphia Phillies last night, however, the New York Islanders won their fourth straight playing on home ice against the Edmonton Oilers.  This blogger got to witness John Tavares live in action for the first time last night, and he scored a beautiful goal.
