Fisher's Favs 2/15/13

Welcome to this weeks Link Checks! I hope you all enjoyed last night's exciting victory over the New York Rangers. I know I did. The Isles played well in a few of their 5 losses and finally with a little luck from the hockey gods and the talent of John Tavares we turned a corner last night.

Here are my picks for this week:

Donovan Brooks

"State of the Islanders Goaltending" In this piece Donovan takes a look at the currant goaltending of the Isles, and also explores the young goalkeepers in the Isles organization.

Steven Giangaspro

"Has Jack Capuano Lost the Team" Does the team respond to Cappy anymore? Steven examines some of Cappy's controversial decisions and are they in part, a reason for the inconsistant play of the team? Hornick

"The Skinny" As well as providing a re-cap of the Isles vs. Rangers game, Isles statistician Eric Hornick provides us with plenty of stats and interesting Info.

Lighthouse Hockey/David Hanssen

"If Not Capuano, Then Who?" David, who is for keeping Cappy as the head coach, takes a look at the other options for the position, if the Isles decide to move on. He examines different prospects from inside and outside of the Isles organization.

Rob McGowan

"Islanders Quarterly Check In" Rob takes a look at where the Isles stand 1/4 way through the season.

Well folks, that's it for this week. Let's all hope the team has gained some perspective and confidence with the big win last night.

Let's Go Islanders!!
