In the second period it was the Islanders fourth line that able to give the Islanders a 2-0 lead on a Marty Reasoner goal.

Mark Streit left the game with an apparent arm injury, after the game it was determined that it is a fractured collarbone and the Islanders captain will miss three weeks. This isn’t the first time the Islanders have missed Streit for an extended period of time.
