Isles Look For Their First Win In Brooklyn

The New York Islanders will take to the ice for the second time tonight at the Barclays Center, looking to achieve their first win on Brooklyn ice.

Although it is only a preseason contest, a win at the Barclays Center over a division rival will bode well for fans as well as management, considering whom the Isles have dressed tonight.

Chad Johnson and Dave Leggio are tonight's Isles goaltenders, with Travis Hamonic, Ryan Pulock, Brian Strait, Kevin Czuczman, Matt Donovan and TJ Brennan on defense.

The forwards will look a little more familiar to the crowd. Josh Bailey, Colin McDonald, Kyle Okposo, Anders Lee, Johan Sundstrom, Brock Nelson, Eric Boulton, Kevin Mouillierat, Casey Cizikas, Mikhail Grabovski, Nikolay Kulemin and of course, John Tavares will be on offense.

The majority of the Islanders roster for tonight played for the big club last season or were regulars every night.

The New Jersey Devils will have some NHL veterans in their line-up tonight as well, including some old familiar faces like Ruslan Fedotenko and the former Devil Scott Gomez.

These two teams met last year at the Barcalys Center for a preseason match that resulted with the Isles taking the LIRR home with a 3-0 loss on their minds.

The Islanders are currently 2-1-0 in the preseason this year, coming off a 4-2 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes at Nassau Coliseum on Wednesday night. The Devils are 1-1-0 thus far with their preseason match-ups.

Unlike last year, tonight's game will be aired live on MSG with puck drop at 7:30 PM.
